Lights remain on at 955 Queen Street East after tenants slapped with Sept. 15 disconnection notice due to 'outstanding issues' between PUC, property owners

The lights remain on for those looking to access health-care services at the Doctor's Building after tenants received notice that the power to the building was scheduled to be cut off Sept. 15 due to "outstanding issues" between PUC and property owners.

The Doctor’s Building is owned by the same numbered company that bought the old General Hospital site in May 2019 — with promises to redevelop the property into condominiums and a long-term care facility. The director of that numbered company is Mike Anobile, a real estate investor based in Vaughan, Ont., who is also president of Leisure Meadows Community Living Inc.
