The California Attorney's office is FORCING the city of El Cajon to house 45% of San Diego's homeless. State Dems. make California an attractive place for the homeless, and then force conservative cities to house them. More info:

SAN DIEGO – The City of El Cajon recently discovered it is housing over 45% of the County’s homeless via the state’s hotel voucher program. It is against the city’s laws for hotels/motels to house homeless at over 50% occupancy, so many hotels and motels received notices that they would have to adjust their occupancy.

Very shortly after, the attorney of El Cajon was called by the California Attorney General’s office and told that they were in violation of the Fair Housing and Employment Act due to their recent dispersal of the violation notices. There was no written cease and desist, but Mayor Bill Wells says it was clear that the full weight of the AG’s office would be used against the city of El Cajon if they did not rescind the notices of violation.

This is a dumb tweet.

NO um the RED CONSERVATIVE STATES DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR HOMELESS SO THEY COME TO CALIFORNIA. falsemedia incorrectnarrative

So they do something about it and now people complain. La Mesa didn't want them El Cajón doesn't want them. Where's the solution all i hear is complaint no action.

Qusi

I'm afraid we suffer from a syndrome called stammering jackass disease. We have a President that is a stammering jackass and a Governor who is also a stammering jackass. Nothing is done but oh the stammering jackassery. It's a beta roundup.

its BAD! Born and raised SD and never seen it this bad👎👎

Buss them to Las Vegas with a little cash to play in casinos!

This post is going to get the unsheltered ppl harmed.

Homeless people come mainly from conservative states where they aren’t actually taken care off, & also bc it’s easier to ride out a winter in California rather than WY, N and S Dakota, “misery”, TN, KS, KY, and more. Only fitting to place them right on E. County. DarrellIssa

Good. Glad they are getting housed finally. Every community with this problem needs to do their share

Please just admit that you are paid off by the Republican party.

What is the Republican plan to make California a less “attractive place for the homeless”? More pollution? More fires? Less water? Another hepatitis outbreak? It’s California! It’s attractive to basically everyone.

🗑 kusi the worst sd news station. Lol

Bud them to La Jolla

El Cajon should bus them to DC

Come on yall. There are homeless shelters and drug counseling places all over democratic cities. Stop crying about conservative areas whenever it's time to help out someone.

I would much rather have immigrants allowed into the country and helping them become beneficial citizens, than all the good for nothing vagrants roaming the streets (not to be confused with those who become homeless due to circumstances beyond their control).

3 - Much like water is self-leveling, our immigration policy needs to be also. Resettling immigrants to less expensive locales sets them up for better success & affordability, while freeing up housing in San Diego to increase the supply for marginalized residents already here.

2 - Before someone throws out an ist/obic label, be aware San Diego is already doing more than our part. We are the 8 county in the *whole country* to welcome & resettle immigrants.

1 - This is akin to the 'affordable housing crisis' - where Progressive policies increase immigration settlement, thereby driving up prices for existing residents (including other immigrants and POC.) [Please see next post before commenting on this one.]

Gotta stop voting for these people. Conservative voters need to be knocking on doors getting the vote out

How much you wanna bet a certain county supervisor had something to do with this?

BrianDahleCA you gotta win!

But by all means let’s all keep supporting Gav🙄

In other words, the CA state government is not only causing, but also incentivizing homelessness in CA as well.
