Several items were seized, including class A, B and C drugs.

Officers from North Belfast Neighbourhood Policing Team arrested a man in the city on suspicion of possession of Class C drugs as well as possession with intent to supply on Tuesday .

Police say that a home they linked to the man was also searched, where several items were seized, including class A, B and C drugs. There was also a substantial sum of money, a number of electronic storage devices, as well as scales and deal bags. According to officers investigating the case, the man had been seen acting suspiciously by police on foot patrol in the Cathedral Quarter of the city. Upon noticing he was being watched by the officers, he is said to have run off, but he was located nearby by colleagues using CCTV facilities.

When asked for his home address, the man was said to have given false details, but eventually a property linked to him was discovered. After a search was authorised the house was searched, the suspicious items were found and he was taken into custody.
