The development would feature several different types of homes.

O’Brien Properties is seeking approval for a development, featuring several different types of dwelling plus parking spaces for 49 vehicles and landscaping, on a vacant 0.86 hectare site located within the Ravenscraig Masterplan area.

The location is adjacent to the recently completed Ravens Cliff Gardens development by Taylor Wimpey, which consists of 106 properties. In an accompanying statement the applicant claims its proposal would “assist with the council’s strategy to develop land to help appease the general requirement for suitable additional housing throughout the local area and Scotland".

The proposed housing would be in the form of four one-bedroomed flats, four two-bedroomed cottage flats, ten two-bedroomed terraced houses and five three-bedroomed semi-detached houses, all designed to support varying needs. At time of writing no comments on this application had been published on North Lanarkshire Council’s website, where extensive documentation can be found under the reference number 22/01176/FUL.
