Leaders with the project want to lease around eight acres of city-owned land to"The Other Side Academy" for the construction of a village with 430 tiny homes.
The project has been in the works for a while, with Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall announcing the program in April 2021.
Bouta be a drug dealer’s paradise
Sure hope it's real. Where at?
Hope it's real
SLC is a Liberal 💩 hole...I work in Draper...take the freeway straight there and back. NEVER go to SLC otherwise. Thankful for not dealing with all their BS and glad to know it's not gonna be my tax dollars used for more Liberal freeloaders.
Crack will be crazy there. If it’s managed right it can probably be done
That's going to be a disaster
I have been saying this for years, not only is that needed in SLC but each county needs one
Has this been tried anywhere else? It sounds better then a shelter, but would people get the resources they need for mental health and addiction issues?
Wow, these comments are vile. I for one am more than happy to have my tax dollars going towards people who need housing, mental/emotional support, substance abuse help, and employment resources to make the whole community a better place.
Someone with a substance abuse issue will rip the wiring out of a tiny home and sell it for money to buy booze or drugs. Someone with a mental illness will melt down the appliances to make a metal hat so the CIA can't scan his brain.
Oh is this phase 4 of ruin SLC?
Can’t wait for taxes hikes on all the resources this is gonna suck up.
