Hundreds gathered to protest at the housing of asylum seekers at a former ESB site in East Wall, Dublin, yesterday.
Up to 300 local residents stopped traffic claiming the building was being used to accommodate male-only asylum seekers.Councillor Nial Ring said locals would open their hearts to those fleeing war but the lack of consultation had caused anger in the local community.
