Too bad the Charter was proven to be nothing for the last 2yrs. Oh well.

$400 dollars a day if they refuse to leave hospital to go to a nursing home not of their choosing? This demonstrates the problems with both our hospital and long term care systems. Seems completely punitive to the elderly and their families.

HEY Doug Ford! You should have used that NWC…

With a 40K waitlist and people stressed trying to look after dementia relatives at home, I would like to see a list of these vacancies. I can't believe there are any homes that wouldn't be full just from the waitlist.

We agree with the bill. LTC hospital visitors cannot be allowed to ruin our acute bed hospitals. They should be moved immediately to the nearest LTC bed. No problem here.

According to the international protocols, using nervous_gas , what is going on in Javanrud , is a clear example of war crime. Hereby, we request all related international organizations and communities to stand with Iranian people based on R2P Law. MahsaAmini

Just like the vax they didn’t choose to take 5 times

Do it.

You don't have to go home but you can't stay here. Hospitals are not long term care facilities. It's unfair to patients and taxpayers..

suit thank climb

People who failed to properly financial plan for old age now want us to be responsible for the costs of their care?

Lawyers looking for money!Health-care advocates should be looking to free up hospital beds, not turn them into expensive nursing home beds!

J0ann3 “there are 38,000 people on the waitlist for long-term care. … Bill 7 allows hospitals or discharge planners to override patient consent to secure a bed as far as 70 kilometres away in southern Ontario and 150 kilometres away in northern regions.” fordnation is a fascist.

What ever happened to respect for seniors who built this country

Change ‘could’ to ‘will’ 😉

We know Ford isn't afraid to use the Notwithstanding Clause. Let's see if he'll use it here.

Kind of surprised we haven’t heard any slick advert. messages about $400 giving elderly opportunity to travel. I mean what else are our tax $$$ paying for. They’ve had the housing ads trying to deflect from greenbelt lies, also ads trashing Ed.workers with made up Lecce facts.

About time!

Shocking way to treat the elderly and absolutely must be Charter challenged.

Good

Good. Abhorrent new ruling

Good hope b it gets overturned this goverment needs to be put in there place
