Saxony Ridge Apartments in Lititz will include 62 affordable housing apartments for seniors, 62 years and older. The apartments will be ready for occupancy in December.and Moravian Manor Communities. The apartments are located on Moravian Manor’s Warwick Woodlands campus, which is located on West Sixth Street in Lititz.
The project’s 62 independent living residential apartments – 44 one-bedroom and 18 two-bedroom– are income restricted. The maximum income for one person is $37,920, and for two people is $43,320. Rent will range from $331 to $1,191 a month and includes heat, electricity, water, sewer, and trash.The rent levels are tiered based on Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency affordability guidelines.
The building will include a community room with kitchen, management and supportive services offices; library, fitness room, family game room, coin operated laundry, bike racks and bike storage, and a bocce ball court. There are 78 off-street parking spaces. Community Basics Inc. is a community housing development organization that develops and manages affordable rental housing in Lancaster County and surrounding areas. Community Basics Inc. was founded in 1997 and has acquired and developed more than 500 apartments in the Lancaster and York County areas. In addition, the organization manages three properties that provide permanent housing for individuals who have experienced homelessness and suffer from chronic mental illnesses.
