Rahman said despite the development affecting everyone who lived around it, no one was contacted about the appeal. Rahman said members of the community had already spoken out against the proposed development during the two public hearing sessions held in 2019 and 2021. She is frustrated those concerns weren’t considered or even heard during the IRAC appeal.“It's getting to be fatiguing because this issue has been brought up over and over again,” he said. “The residents have been fighting for a long time. This time, they didn’t do any proper consultation.

The rezoning is part of the proposed Reddin Meadows development and would see 14 acres of land behind Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Parish Church changed from low-density, single-family residential to planned unit residential development . - ContributedIn terms of notice, the spokesperson said public notice for any planning appeal is posted on the commission’s website. SaltWire Network contacted Landfest Company Ltd. for an update on the project, however, no response was given by reporting time. Left without many options, Rahman said she has reached out to the Office of the Ombudsman to see what options residents might have.
