The march will begin at Parnell Square in Dublin at 1pm today.

Thousands are expected to attend the protest organised by the Raise the Roof campaign, including musicians and opposition politicians.

According to Social Democrats Housing spokesperson Cian O'Callaghan, the handling of the homelessness crisis by the government"is nothing short of a disaster"."Firstly, what the government should be doing is ensuring that empty social homes around the country ... they should be getting those back into use very quickly", Deputy O'Callaghan said.

There is another protest in eastwall highlighting the root cause of the housing shortages.....any chance of a mention?

Not warranted, rodders yesterday said there are great steps been taken to resolve the housing situation.

Yet GaryGannonTD thinks housing 400 migrants is okay. Are the SD speaking out of both sides of their mouths? Gary is very quiet these last few days.

Better demand tbe government to stop letting in fakeugees !

Nothing like a controlled opposition protest from sinn fein, people before puberty and government controlled unions and the ngo minions.......
