Premier David Eby’s recent announcement about forthcoming legislation to remove supply\u002Dside barriers in order to build more housing in the province has been met with skepticism in some quarters about its failure to substantively address the challenges faced by low\u002Dincome renters, the unhoused, and other groups disproportionately affected by the housing crisis.

this study to further confirm that the rate of erosion in this supply will make it impossible to realize the National Housing Strategy’s goals of maintaining or even expanding net affordable rental stock if this loss continues.
