The current plans are for 700 modular homes overall.
Some 206 homes will be across five sites in Cavan Town; Mahon, Co Cork; Thurles, Co Tipperary; Doorly Park, Co Sligo; and Claremorris, Co Mayo with the first units due to be ready early in the new year. Further sites – due to be confirmed in the coming weeks – are under consideration as part of a second phase of development.
In his email, Mr Buckley said it is “imperative” that community engagement be completed “over the coming days” adding that if this was not done the delivery timetable would not be achieved. The OPW told the Dáil’s Public Accounts Committee in December that 73 possible sites have been evaluated and three-quarters of these have been deemed not suitable.

It astonishes me NO ONE in GOV or opposition see a problem with supplying one Cohort ONLY with these homes, notwithstanding, 🇺🇦 refugees are supposed 2 B here Temporarily, the fact there's 11k in long term Emergency Accom & many more on housing waiting lists, its outrageous 😡
They can do this for refugees (I'm not disputing it, it is the right thing to do) but there homeless on the streets for years & couldnt build them for them There was no money to do it, suddenly now there is..smh
