Brown said if the city reduced the requirement in its bylaw to .34 acres it would make a big difference. He added the city will continue with its standing committee on affordable housing and offer a tax incentive to developers and non-governmental organizations that meet the provincial requirements for affordable housing.
Scott Adams, manager of public works, said the city will be getting started on the Eastern Gateway Master Plan. Once complete, the parkway will link up to Grafton Street at a new signalized intersection near the Holland College parking lots.
