Hundreds of homes in southern Mansfield are already complete, and construction is set to continue despite lower sales volume.
The entire master-planned community spans across 750 acres and will take five to seven years to fully build out. The site will also include 250 to 300 townhomes. The project is on the consent agenda for the Mansfield Planning and Zoning Commission’s meeting Tuesday evening. While site work has already started, the developer is seeking plat approval that will allow builders to begin selling homes in the new phase, Luedtke said.in 2019. At the time, homes there were expected to start in the mid-$300,000s.
The first phase includes 402 single-family lots, and home construction is underway or complete on just over half of them. Builders include Highland Homes, American Legend Homes, Perry Homes and John Houston Homes. All of those companies, except for John Houston, are set to build in the second phase.
