Why this misinformation. Foreigners were banned for 2 years not specifically Nigerians. Nigerians are not near the majority of foreigners buying property in Canada. The ban is to enable Canadians buy property and not necessarily due to bad behaviour of foreigners.

Total foriegn investment in real estate in Canada is between only 2-6%. In regions like british Colombia only 1.1% New Zeeland and other european countries have tried same approach but prices havent slowed down. This move will not curb the rising cost of real estate in Canada.
