u think

Democrats have to keep their voters poor so they keep coming back for me, it’s like a drug

Sounds like Quebec

oufenix I’ve been on a waiting list for 4yrs and I can say if given a voucher I will look in a nice neighborhood

Remember, some people self segregate. Lot of people dont want to live around whites.

The modern sharecropper. Brought to you by the democrat left! My idea is yto get everyone a job so they can make their own way and get out of poverty

Sad

Why?

This is disgusting !!

That was not the case in Chicago. When Cabrini green was closed down the residents got vouchers for townhouses and condos in the suburbs. I watched it with my own eyes as the gangs took over streets I the burbs. They went to nice areas, the hood follows. That is why I moved 👇🏻

It's all about zip codes. Keeping the poor, poor. Continuing to keep failing schools in failing neighborhoods so that the children can fail.

Housing vouchers can have strings attached that are risky for landlords.

Section 8 housing sticks out like the proverbial sore thumb no matter where you are in the US.

The vouchers should be large enough so people can move to McLean and Potomac.

Isn't this the very definition of choosy beggars? Want to live in a nice neighborhood? Work and earn it like the rest of us.

Beggars can't be choosers

Low-income families using federal housing vouchers remain concentrated in high-poverty, racially segregated neighborhoods with little opportunity — even when affordable apartments are available.

'There's no money': Shutdown freezes HUD funds for low-income housing for the elderlyThe few federal employees left at HUD have been scouring the books, looking for a last-minute solution to fund hundreds of affordable housing contracts that have expired under the shutdown. GOOD! Crap like this is EXACTLY what gave us the mortage market meltdown of 2008! STOP the insanity when it comes to mortgages and home ownership. HUD is an unconstitutional executive overreach and should be abolished outright. If housing in this manner is to be done legislation is needed from congress. A big part of the problem is that HUD probably cuts monthly checks, by hand, one at a time. It isn’t the first shutdown, it isn’t the last, so when will HUD and Congress change how rental contracts are handled? When?
