After dedicating decades of her life to working in the public housing sector, the 54-year-old is without a home and living in a tent.

Robyn Goodsell has worked in public housing for decades and is homeless for a second time.abc.net.au/news/homeless-nsw-south-coast-woman-more-action-housing-premier/101880768Robyn Goodsell has always believed the public housing system is "broken", especially after experiencing homelessness herself.

"I'm a 54-year-old Aboriginal woman who has worked nearly all my life, has sacrificed so much for my children and now I'm living in a tent," she said. She believes lived experience of homelessness and insight into the support that vulnerable people desperately need would be invaluable in the housing sector.

Eurobodalla Shire council has allowed a growing number of people living in the North Head campground to stay beyond the state-government mandated 50-day limit.Cr Hatcher is hoping to extend this policy to local caravan parks as well."I get very sick of seeing promises made for elections, some action being made after that and then leading into the next election we're just looking at promises again," he said.

It’s the era of socialism. Everyone is waiting for handouts and for everyone else to help them in life. Families don’t wanna own up helping each other. She sacrificed so much for her kids but her kids can’t find a room for her. Just shows we are a society of wingers and beggars

Now do a story on homeless white peoples

Ask the remaining flogs from the Hawke/Keating Labor government given that they started the selloff of most of Australia's public housing stock, from 20% in 1980 to less than 4% today.

I said something........but

I lived in a tent for 9 months when this all started in 2020. I'm a nurse. This isn't new.

the free food vouchers are still valid

Jam Tins on the Highway have also been discussed.

Local government is also to blame. Building tourist attractions instead of housing their residents. The tourists flock in and the investors turn to short term rentals to make a quick buck. In the meantime all the cheapest housing is snaffled up and locals are left homeless.

So these people have a job because they certainly are .'well fed'

I hope that the tent loan payments are going OK. Things are only going to get worse, sadly.

Labors Immigration Program is taking its toll on Australia. Of course Immigration creates homeless and Labor wants to run the biggest Immigration since Rudds 2009 ( and worse ). Labors more guilty then they admit. Checkout Sustainable Australia Party -

In the meantime in WA my public housing building has at least 75 % migrants many are men of working age who have no English and don't work ! Some didn't qualify for priority over 55 housing but here they are... Australians and Indigenous people don't stand a chance !

It’s so good that Labor are increasing immigration to make the housing crisis even worse. If people can’t afford houses then buy a tent.

Albo is fixing the homeless crisis by bringing in no less than 315,000 immigrants & visa holders per year on top of natural growth. Tents look like a good option. You’re welcome.
