A meeting was scheduled Jan. 29, where the Department of Corrections, Department of Social & Health Services and the Thurston County Sheriff were to "Threats to kill, property destruction, or any other criminal acts will not solve the issue at hand. As a community, we have the opportunity to systemically change the current legislation put forth through legal and morally-acceptable avenues." Residents are pushing back against a facility meant, to house sex offenders from McNeil Island, from coming into their neighborhood.
Another issue parents and officials have with the facility is that about 35 children live a mile from a less-restrictive alternative and a bus stop is right in front of it.

This would be more appropriate in downtown Seattle where these sexual predators would be comfortable with the locals.
Citizens are beginning to hit the boiling point. When it spills over there area lot of folks out there that support them and may take a stand with them. A liberal governor that refuses to listen is a threat to hard working citizens. Hope they find a way to work together.
The State is threatening the women and children of the greater Tenino area with rape. What would 'you' do if someone put your loved ones in jeopardy of being raped? What is the appropriate response to that?
