The RSH said providers had recorded and submitted information about the number of damp and mould cases they had in a variety of ways, meaning it was difficult to accurately assess the extent of such problems in the sector overall.
Fiona MacGregor, chief executive of RSH, said: "Where there are issues, landlords need to act now to put things right, before we start our active consumer regulation, including inspections of providers." In cases where providers are identified as not meeting standards, the RSH said regulatory action will be taken, including publishing regulatory notices or regulatory judgments "where appropriate".
Move the illegals in there
They are still better off from where they came from
It's called bleach, water spot of washing up liquid hidden ingredient elbow grease and giving a dam not blaming others.
So clean it off - not that difficult
I've 30yrs experience as landlord How about tenants take some responsibility? Good tenants open windows, don't dry clothes indoors without windows open or dehumidifier running etc If mould appears then wipe wall with anti mould spray. It's cretinous to blame the landlord instead
Unless there is a water leak then it is the problem of people who live in these properties who are not cleaning the mould off their windows therefore it then spreads. They need to stop blaming other people.
😂
People that come from a hot country do not understand this cold damp country. Perhaps simple instructions should be circulated how to open windows, put on heating, clean, vent shower rooms and never use an un-vented tumble drier.
Everyone has to clean mould. Modern draught proof windows makes the problem worse. Just crack a window open slightly and don't expect the council to clean daily for you.
I am on hunger strike from today. In a Serbian asylum
If you cannot afford to heat your home, mould will grow there. This is a problem for all poor people.
