Party leader Ivana Bacik told the Dáil there should be a"single point of contact and centralised systems for managing the State response".
She said that despite the appointment of Joe O'Brien as junior minister with responsibility for integration, the location of housing was still being done on an ad-hoc basis.Tánaiste Micheál Martin defended the Government's response saying it is being done on a cross-departmental basis pointing to the cabinet subcommittee on Ukraine.
He also said that former Limerick city manager Conn Murray had been appointed to coordinate work on the housing side.Ms Bacik also said there were sinister actors trying to further a far right agenda.
Back to your countries..stop coming here to bleed out system..free loaders
We'd call for a referendum but they just ignored the one in 2004, Then they'll cry about the far right and democracy.
Send them back.
Virtu signaling from all the parties easier than genuinely solving the problem not only for refugees importantly for there own citizens who are as bad off and have been neglected by same parties
Co ordinate what? There is no room
Why doesn't anyone seem to question the governments'attitude to the Dublin Agreement ?
Labour like the rest would also like the plantation quickened up.
Numbers are high ....
Those who meet the criteria can stay, deportation for the rest, all done in a timely manner, the problem is there is no deportation in the physical sense as there are endless appeals at the taxpayers expense, enriching the legal profession, and nothing happens.
Should the government cap immigration?
All anti Irish political parties are in favour of filling the country with an endless flow of unvetted migrants, irrespective of the detrimental effects on Irish society and its people. If that doesn't show you the contempt they have for ordinary Irish people I don't what will.
I am calling on a more coordinated approach to their immediate removal and deportation.
That statement means nothing. U can coordinate all u like but if the housing is not available u still have problems.
Be more in their interest to look after our own first wouldn't it, the country is on its knees, every sector, every service.. falling apart
They won't coordinate or organise shit, they need to stop the endless flow coming in. Start deporting every person that has arrived here without documentation. IrelandisFull
Politicians & media over use the word sinister when people don’t agree with them .. I hope they’ve jobs in the EU or the multi billion NGO sector that they keep afloat come next election.
