-- The number of Chicago's homeless community seeking shelter at O'Hare International Airport is up.
"They will come up behind you. This one man followed us last night," Thompson said."From the time we get here until the time we leave in the morning, they will be here." Jessica Dubuar with Haymarket Center, which serves the O'Hare homeless community, says the numbers are increasing year to year. The city is now hoping the $60 million in federal funding to fight homelessness will help. The money announced Thursday will go toward expanding placement services.
Posted repeatedly for DAYS. How much is ENOUGH?
Cause it’s freezing outside, what did you expect would happen?
This same thing happened in the mid 1980s.
Ya so that school that they are opening for the immigrants but let’s not help are own Americans that some if not all had paid taxes here. Or are natural citizens they are sleeping on the streets so let’s give hand outs to people that are not from here the American way lol
Thank you liberals
Concerns from people who just don't want to see this Create affordable housing Or leave the uhoused alone
Keep sending BILLIONS to Ukraine Keep housing ILLEGALIMMIGRANTS unused CPS Schools and neglecting the very people who live in these communities! Socialism will NEVER solve current problems it will just create further problems and more social discourse
From a glance, I could probably tell you it's more then homelessness. Add heroine addiction to the list...
Welp they gotta sleep somewhere. Maybe take all that money and energy spent on housing ungrateful illegals on taking care our own citizens first?!
Hey welcome to the conversation that everyone has known about for the past 4 years Nothing like crack journalists
Why can’t they stay at the migrant shelter?
Where’s their bus, food, and shelter chicagosmayor ? Where is their police detail? Where’s there placement? It’s -20 and they are sleeping outside while illegals have food and clothing.
