Premier Doug Ford’s government is notifying 467 landowners along the route of the proposed Highway 413 for “permission to enter” their property to evaluate its suitability for the freeway.

and the Progressive Conservatives won every riding along the planned route.

“The purpose of this letter is to request permission to enter your property in order to conduct both intrusive and nonintrusive fieldwork in support of the project, as your property may include environmental and engineering features that would provide valuable input,” it continues. The province wants to do ecological investigations of plants and animals to determine if any “endangered species” would be affected.

The Tories have not yet disclosed what the highway, which the government says would include a “transit way” component, will cost.to specify the budget, even when asked by journalists for a “ballpark” figure.

Tie them up in lawsuits for 3 yrs.. both for the hwy and the greenbelt

Run it through Etobicoke

The highway is not going to solve anything. It will cut the travel time by mere seconds. A few seconds is not worth billions of dollars. This money would be better spent improving public transportation, providing more funding to education, or paying for social housing.

If possible do not let them in, tell Ford to buy an helicopter from his own funds to get to his cottage. Follow the money!
