Finding an affordable place to rent in Calgary hasn’t been easy for Gregory Fraser.

“I’ve had to downsize to a one-bedroom between me and my partner and my dog. I’ve had to move abruptly from place to place because we couldn’t afford that place anymore,” he told CTV News.

says the number of low-cost rental units in Calgary and Edmonton has dropped significantly over the last 30 years.Both cities also grew over that period — Calgary by more than 590,000 and Edmonton by nearly 367,000. Instead, it suggests local land-use regulations, like zoning bylaws, at the municipal level are behind it

FYI.. Low cost housing should be ONLY for veterans, and people with dissabilities, including mental and physical, NOT for the woke, who dont believe in working for a living.

With Trudeau’s immigration plans there should be another 50 to 100 thousand more people looking for somewhere to live in Calgary this year. You ain’t seen nothing yet

it both baffles and amazes me to watch people now complain about issues they chose to be ignorant about before: 1) Why do College & University students get first pick, even during the summer months when they are not here? 2) Prices go up right before stampede and do not come down
