Manchester city council will this week meet to discuss plans which would transform the former Chorlton Leisure Centre

A former leisure centre in south Manchester could soon be turned into dozens of affordable homes for older people.

Affordable homes are needed, but it's not a site that's suitable for residential property. It should be reopened as a leisure centre so the community has somewhere walkable to swim and exercise indoors in my opinion.
