In the Turkish city of Adana, people are choosing to sleep in their cars rather than their homes after the second deadly earthquake this month.

Eyewitness Alejandro Malaver said everyone was scared and "no one wants to get back into their houses".More than 47,000 people have died following the earthquake on February 6 and three people were killed in Monday's magnitude -6.4 quake.

Many survivors have fled the disaster zones, but some have decided to stay, despite the dreadful conditions."We spend our days with bread, soup and meals as part of the aid sent by people," Mustafa Akan who sleeps outdoors in in Adiyaman said. Syria's public works and housing minister Suhail Abdul Latif said the government would secure 350 housing units for people who are displaced.

Displaced people walk outside tents at a camp for earthquake survivors, on the outskirts of rebel-held town of Jandaris in Syria. "If we stay at home and listen to ourselves, we will never recover.
