More supply. It's easy. It's in every textbook. It isn't caps, restricting ownership to certain groups, nor limiting short term rentals. Just add supply.

Get rid of air bnbs. They have had a gravy train for long enough.

Cap all increases to the same level as the allowed rent increase.

If you eliminated short term rentals, and you mobilize all empty properties turning them into long term rentals the lower mainland may have sufficient housing to relieve critical mass. Time for bold action until new affordable stock is built.

Stop letting immigrants into BC!

More cooperative housing. With reasonable housing charges.

Get more migrants

Also, do a program on residential leaseholde properties. In the absence of any legal framework, how are landlords enjoying unlimited power and screwing lessees and extorting money and or making them homeless.

Stop taxing everything. End the building permit problem.

Re affordablilty. Cap and tier simple as that. Max charge per age of property. Owners still need to rent out regardless win win imo

You cram 12 people into a 5 bedroom house and charge them $1000.00 per month each, like they do in Surrey BC.

Too many bylaws prevent families from building on their existing homes.

Limit Airbnb’s to start with!

The government seems to by trying to remove the homeless and the old. Try increasing taxes on REITs and every extra property owned 2+

Stop flooding the country with immigrants might be a start.
