Nigel Dexter, 35, was found to have stolen Star Wars memorabilia and jewellery from the dead man's property in Kettering

A 35-year-old man who was caught red-handed burgling a house in Kettering by the recently-deceased owner's sister has pleaded guilty to burglary. Nigel Dexter was found in the property on Highfield Road but escaped and went on to sell an item for £100 cash.

The sister later realised a number of items were also missing from the house, including jewellery and original Star Wars figures. Northamptonshire Police’s Burglary Team opened an investigation into the incident which led to Dexter's arrest.
