A growing social media trend has revealed how terrifying the levels of crime are becoming in the Top End with residents at their wit's end. 9News

Young deviants are posting videos on social media of brazen attacks on people's homes and cars while the victims are unable to fight back against the crime wave.

The police took more than two hours to arrive and Kear claims officers did not take any forensics from the scene. But Kear was only further angered by the crime when videos and photos of his allegedly stolen car were posted online by a group called the "Bon Jovi Boys". "We've come to a crisis point where Darwin is under siege and people like myself who have worked hard for years to keep the little that we've got to see it stolen," Kear said.

Kear has written to local MP Mark Monahan and the federal MP Luke Gosling but claims he hasn't received an adequate response.
