The guidelines, set to be revealed on Tuesday, bar providers from fitting meters for customers over 85, anyone with a terminal illness, and people with chronic conditions such as emphysema. The new code also requires firms to make at least 10 attempts to contact a customer and conduct a “site welfare visit” before a prepayment meter is installed.that debt agents working for suppliers will be required to wear body cameras or audio equipment to ensure the rules are being followed.
