Daniel Langman, 48, was found guilty of killing Anthony Collins at a property on Mackie Avenue in the Inverclyde town on Sunday May 16 2021, following a trial at the High Court in Glasgow that concluded on Monday. Cops were called to the address at around 3.30pm on May 16 2021 and launched a murder inquiry following a post-mortem.

Detective Inspector Nikki Wake, of Greenock CID, said: “This was a brutal attack that has left Anthony’s family absolutely devastated and our thoughts remain with them at this extremely difficult time. “Langman will now have to face the consequences of his actions. I would like to thank Anthony’s family, friends and those in the wider community who helped officers during this enquiry.”
