Threshold revealed 'tenancy termination' is the biggest concern for renters at present after the eviction ban was lifted at the end of last month

More than 1,300 children have been prevented from going homeless in the first three months of this year after a housing charity intervened, figures reveal.

Threshold’s National Advocacy Manager Ann-Marie O’Reilly stated: “It is extremely worrying to see record levels of households requiring immense levels of support in their tenancies in the first quarter of this year, particularly while an eviction ban was in place. Tenancy termination largest concern as housing charity supports over 1,200 households in Q1 of 2023Threshold said it supported 1,262 households to stay in their homes or secure alternative housing between January and March. This is what other outlets are saying, so just wondering if that figure you’re using is correct? ThresholdIRE Between January and March 2023, Threshold supported 9,256 households compared to 1,262 households in the second quarter of 2021. It's astonishing that a Charity was able to assist over 1,000 stay in their homes over 3 months & during an Eviction Ban and to my knowledge the combined might of fiannafailparty greenparty_ie & FineGael, with all their Elected representatives have NOT helped ONE household
