Builders, developers, and real estate professionals from across the Greater Toronto Area came together on May 11 to honour the winners of thePresented by the Building Industry and Land Development Association, the annual awards recognize excellence in architecture, design, people and sales, and marketing of new homes in the GTA. Nearly 1,000 entries were submitted for the 47 awards.
“The BILD Awards finalists and winners exemplify excellence and innovation as they bring the GTA’s new communities to life,” said Dave Wilkes, President and CEO of BILD. “The BILD Awards are an opportunity to celebrate these dynamic companies and remarkable people shaping our region.”Notable wins included The Daniels Corporation, which was named Home Builder of the Year, Mid/High-Rise, and Great Gulf, which received the award for Home Builder of the Year, Low-Rise. The category recognizes builders who set the industry standard through their professionalism and dedication to excellence.
For the 12th time since 2010, Tridel earned a Green Builder of the Year Award, this time in the Mid/High-Rise subcategory. Meanwhile, Minto Communities was named Green Builder of the Year, Low-Rise. Silvio De Gasperis, the President and CEO of the TACC Group of Companies, received the Lifetime Achievement Award. BILD’s highest honour, the award recognizes members who have dedicated a lifetime to the association and the industry, and who demonstrate significant leadership and commitment to the greater good.
