Less regulation, more competition

do NOT give congress oversite. if u do u get goofs like DODD/FRANKS who are incompetent.

Perhaps it's time cause the ONE THING everyone fails to realize is that Fannie/Freddy were created to give those who wouldn't normally qualify for a conventional loan an opportunity to buy a house. Owning a home isn't a RIGHT so stop pacifying the financially illiterate. Reform.

That will definitely create a collapse that will crash the US economy. All the fixes of both organizations have been cosmetic and the ig bank approach of the exposure of $50 Trillion will have a serious negative pressure on the economy.

The problem is, when Trump and his cohorts say 'overhaul' or 'reform', they usually mean 'destroy'.

'Joseph Otting told employees last week that the admin would not wait on Congress, where attempts to overhaul the housing finance system have repeatedly faltered, according to a recording of his remarks obtained by POLITICO.' Who's right? Who's wrong? Does anyone know anything?

We need to deal with that mess before it blows up in our face. Thats another time bomb gift from democrats to millenials.

Lawmakers Promise Fresh Push to Overhaul Housing FinanceLawmakers from both parties plan to take a fresh crack at getting Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, two companies that underpin nearly half of U.S. mortgages, out of government control. PatrickMcHenry Please stay away from sub prime loans! Apparently in DC, “overhaul” means “do the bidding of a few absurdly wealthy donors and corporate interests, in exchange for money”. good luck doing anything with those quasi government agencies and the link of alleged layers of corruption with the big banks. and has any seen or heard from the HUD secretary lately?🤔
