As house prices slide, Jason Kenney urges elimination of mortgage stress test for Albertans

A better idea would be to lobby Trudeau to lower the taxes he raised on 80% of the Middle Class so working people can afford a home - when you lose 43% of every dollar in taxes, excluding the carbon tax, it leaves little to live - conservatives need to drive this message home!!!

Wouldn’t personal responsibility be a better way to let peoplegovern their own lives. Wouldn’t a free market away from government meddling be a better approach. Just spit balling here but I think the government is the ones who screwed things up don’t look to them for a fix

the mortgage stress test is to prevent people from committing too much to debt in an uncertain economy. In a NEGATIVE economy, Kenney thinks it is a good idea to let people borrow more than they can afford. Wouldn't a better policy be to support affordable housing?
