The redevelopment of Sri Pulau Pinang, Sri Melaka, Sri Johor and Taman Ikan Emas low-cost housing privatisation projects in Bandar Tun Razak, Cheras is to improve the livelihood of its residents with new and more comfortable housing and environment.
Bandar Tun Razak MP Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said the project was mooted since 2016, adding that the first phase of the project was underway and currently contractors were doing piling works at the site."The relocation of the residents will be in stages and will take some time then," she said during a press conference held after a site visit to the project's location.
The first phase will have 1,192 units where residents from Sri Pulau Pinang flats identified by Kuala Lumpur City Hall will move in first. Each unit is sized at 850 sq ftOut of the total units, 859 of them are individually owned while 4,761 are DBKL rental units.The project is also equipped with a surau, kindergarten, community hall and shop lots as well as a management office.The redevelopment privatisation project has two implementation phases built on a 55.94ha land and costs RM1.
