Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says the government’s Housing Australia Future Fund legislation is “expected to be voted down” by the Coalition and the Greens in the Senate this week.

“The Greens had asked for $2.5 billion a year for housing … and they want a rental freeze,” Mr Clennell said. “The housing Minister Julie Collins made it clear, as the PM has made clear in private discussions to Greens Leader Adam Bandt, that is not something the federal government feels it can deliver.”
