Hostplus shuts property, infrastructure funds as valuations plummet

that the $280 billion industry fund’s property investments were “really disappointing” and that it was restructuring its exposure to the asset class.

But Hostplus said that the performance of property and infrastructure generally, or the fund’s assets specifically, was “not a factor in, or driver of” its decision to close the two options. “As such, the [super fund] trustee has decided, as part of a considered and ultimately broader product suite, to cease offering these single sector, unlisted asset, options.”
