“The one thing about our condo market in the , in my mind, it's not one marketplace. It's made up of many sub-markets that have different needs,” Jim Ritchie, president and CEO of Tridel, told BNN Bloomberg on Tuesday.
“I think Scarborough is another area that we should be looking at, at least in terms of affordability into the marketplace,” he said. Despite about 100,000 condominiums currently being built in the region in addition to tens of thousands of purpose-built rentals, Ritchie said developers aren’t able to meet demand given booming population growth.
