The South Australian government will pour billions of dollars into the health system and abolish stamp duty for some first home buyers, under measures announced in the state budget.

Mr Mullighan said once implemented, the measures could save eligible home buyers up to $29,580 in stamp duty, on top of a $15,000 grant payment for the purchase of a new home valued at $650,000. "This budget provides the single largest commitment in additional health resourcing of any state budget that's come before," Mr Mullighan said.
