Developers had their plans rejected for a second time.

Council planners have knocked back an appeal against the decision to refuse permission to build four mews properties in North Kelvinside.

The original plan involved two mews properties with two bedrooms as well as a one bedroom. It was concluded that the new homes would result in a lack of privacy and sunlight for neighbouring properties. “These qualities were recognised by the Dundee Insitute of Architects in November 2022 when the proposals were awarded the best ‘On The Drawing Board Award’ at their annual awards ceremony.

They argued that claims the application site lies next to a lane were "erroneous" adding that the site "should not by any reasonable stretch of the imagination, be considered to accommodate a lane" and that the development won't be "noticable" on the sunlight hours of nearby properties.
