Work is now underway to bring more affordable rental housing to families, seniors and individuals with low to moderate incomes in Qualicum Beach.

Ravi Kahlon, minister of housing, says this is the first major housing project in Qualicum Beach to be funded through the Building BC investments.and will provide an annual operating subsidy of approximately $313,000.

“I know it will have a tremendous impact to the community by providing families and seniors with safe, secure housing to grow and prosper,” Kahlon said in a release. The development is being built on 136 Village Way W.
