Homes evacuated as bomb disposal team scrambled to street - latest updates

A number of homes have been evacuated as bomb disposal experts assess a house on a street in Fallowfield.Greater Manchester Police confirmed residents living in a number of properties have been asked to leave their homes in line with procedure.

It's believed to follow police executing a warrant at a property on Garswood Road.They claimed police have been posted outside the house since 8pm on Thursday night, but this hasn't been confirmed by GMP.The adjoining houses on Aston Avenue were also reportedly cordoned off as a result. There's been no reports of any injuries.
