Housing costs, meanwhile, are skyrocketing, and not just the average selling price for a home. Two years ago, the Bank of Canada’sThat change has pushed up costs for anyone renewing their mortgage, anyone dealing with a line of credit, anyone trying to finance their purchase of a new home. It’s also hitting commercial landlords who are facing higher costs due to this increased interest rate, something that is showing up in higher rents for tenants.
Inflation has been rising and has been out of control for more than two years now, but the Trudeau government has done little to deal with the issue. They could have stopped, or at least slowed, the growth in spending by the federal government but they refused.Now, with gas prices falling, but food and shelter shooting higher, the Trudeau Liberals want to say it’s all been their hard work.
