Police are investigating the cause of the fire, which broke out at a home on Todman Street at about 6am, sending plumes of thick smoke billowing into the sky.

Nine people were treated at the scene by paramedics and two people have been taken to Redlands Hospital in a stable condition.Firefighters remain on the scene and are working to suppress the fire at one of the properties, a Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesperson told 9news.com.au. One of the structures has been extinguished, one has completely collapsed and one is still alight, the spokesperson said. "It's a developing situation."Police have established a crime scene as the search continues for those missing.

"Initial investigations indicate six people are unaccounted for, including five children and a man, who are residents at the property," police said in a statement. Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire and police have appealed to anyone with information or relevant vision to come forward.Continue reading
