Britain’s biggest generator of zero carbon electricity has signed a seven-year power purchase agreement with a soon-to-be-built wind farm in Ayrshire.
As part of the agreement, EDF will offtake 100 per cent of the renewable wind energy produced by the 220.5MW wind farm once the site becomes commercially operational in early 2025. And the stakeholders involved in the project say the deal represents a “significant contribution” to the Scottish Government’s targets for renewable energy.
