Abdul Ansari is an “online student” from India. On August 7, he made a post to the Facebook group Indians in Halifax asking about places to stay.

“I eagerly await the long-promised student housing strategy from the provincial government, and an updated which addresses uncontrolled international student fees that present additional barriers,” said Lachance.
