Gas hobs are more environmentally friendly than electric ones cause they're more efficient and they only put out CO2 which can be easily offset with green space. Electricity is produced in massive coal power plants that put out tons of soot cause idiots don't like nuclear power.

Stupid... Electric hobs don't work very well because they don't make very good contact with the pot and the temperature control it's kinda bad. Induction hobs only work with special pots and I suspect have poor temperature control. Gas hobs are ideal. There is no replacement.
