Independent MP Allegra Spender says the government’s latest and stronger incentives for Australian states are “absolutely critical” to combat the nation’s housing crisis. “So they’ve put, I think, $2.5 billion in incentives to say ‘we want you states to build and get zoning right, but you’ll only get the money if you actually do the building’,” she told Sky News Australia.
