What do people have to associate apartment living in their life?” Fischer said. “And when we look around the region, here in D-FW, we can see that we’ve concentrated a lot of our apartment homes in neighborhoods that were not great places to start with.

“People have been conditioned over time through media and sort of through other outlets to see … single-family housing as desirable and higher density apartment housing is not the first choice of housing,” Fischer said.
