Just noticed this year’s DC property tax address for check submission is in Philadelphia; did they contract this out? I looked and last year’s address was in DC. Seems odd.After an hour on hold I spoke to someone at the DC Office of Tax and Revenue who confirmed that Philadelphia is the correct address but that the postmark date is what counts towards the due date. When I pointed out that the due date language is new she looked up my bill, read the language, then put me on hold for ten minutes.
I think the least they could have done is highlighted this change in this year’s tax bill because it’s easy to miss.”
